Create truly beautiful artwork in the style of Gustav Klimt using real GOLD!
Have a go at painting in Klimt’s decorative Art Nouveau style, incorporating 24 carat gold leaf. Famous for his recurring abstract swirls, gold rectangles and concentric squares and circles, this is an opportunity to indulge in pure pattern.
ALL materials are provided including four sheets of 24 carat gold leaf (each sheet 4cm x 4cm). Extra gold leaf will be available to buy……gold is addictive stuff! Other materials include gilding brushes, glue, primed boards, paint brushes and acrylic paints. The primed boards for PAINT LIKE KLIMT will be smaller than for previous PAINT LIKE evenings as gold is incredibly expensive! We’ll be using 24 carat gold leaf which is as pure as you can buy and is edible…….not that eating is recommended……
